Using Tone of Voice to Fix My Podcast Description

For my project, I used the skills learned to make the description of my podcast on my website sound more engaging to potential listeners. I am including the original description followed by the new and improved one.

Original:

The In My Footsteps Podcast fills you up with a heaping helping of Gen-X nostalgia from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. It is sure to flood your mind with fond memories. There are also fun lifestyle topics, a dash of history, a slice of humor, and more mixed into a buffet of topics you'll love to hear about. It was created and is hosted by New England author Christopher Setterlund.

Attention lovers of nostalgia! The buffet is now open! The In My Footsteps Podcast fills you up with a heaping helping of Gen-X nostalgia. Covering the 1960s through the 1990s the show is sure to fill your plate with fond memories. Music. Movies. Television. Pop Culture. Oddities and rarities. Forgotten gems pulled straight from your childhood. There is so much to enjoy. New England author Christopher Setterlund hosts the show. The best part? You can binge all you want and never need an antacid. Bell bottoms, Members Only jackets, torn jeans, and poofy hair are all welcome. Come as you are and enjoy a buffet of topics you'll love to reminisce about.

I made significant improvements using the active voice. I tried to inject some humor into the description by using clothing and styles from past decades to get potential listeners at least to smile at what I've written. I also made it clearer by using short sentences.

I don't really have a personal brand so I am tending to use my podcast for my projects. I believe the skills I am learning for copywriting will be useful for me as I try to get some freelance copywriting work.
