I wanted to spread awareness on the connection of high cholesterol and hearth disease, since it is the leading cause of death in United States. I used statistics found on Center for Decease Control and Prevention.

Some facts about cholesterol

People with high cholesterol have about twice the risk of heart disease then people with lower levels.

Your body needs some cholesterol, but it can build up on the walls of your arteries and lead to heart disease and stroke when you have too much in your blood.

71 million American adults (33.5%) have high low-density lipoprotein (LDL), or “bad,” cholesterol.

Only 1 out of every 3 adults with high LDL cholesterol has the condition under control.

Lowering your cholesterol can reduce your risk of having a heart attack or needing heart bypass surgery.

Conclusion 

It was a bit hard to find quality data, but I would say it was worth it. I managed to create good visual representation on the important topic...
