I'm always inspired to take Zaneena's classes because of her vibrant colors choices. And this one is no different! 

I've tried painting Northern Lights before, but I couldn't achieve the right look... so I decided to try again with this class last night and I'm much happier with this painting! 

I still couldn't achieve the perfect look of the northern lights, but now I believe is because I'm not using the cotton paper for it. I've only used cellulose paper so far, but I'm sure I'll get better results once I can move forward to cotton paper.

But I still enjoyed the practice and I'm happy with the overall painting. 

I chose the exemple #1 for my project because I really like the composition with the trees.
