Hey Nancy,Wow, this is stunning!It's evident that a considerable amount of time went into illustrating this piece; the level of detail is remarkable, and the size and shape are both well-executed and beautiful.I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the final outcome. How do you feel about the results?

My thoughts are that I allow myself to become overwhelmed with detail where I should be simplifying. So on one level I'm pleased with what I accomplished despite noticing about 4 errors that I'll need to go back and correct that I didn't catch prior to posting, but I think I didn't exactly fulfill the assignment. Simplification will be my focus going forward.

The berries were created with yet another dual brush- thanks again to your class on that topic!! The brush itself took a bit of time to get just right, but it made the process of drawing all those berries much quicker. (That being said I've made a corrective version of the berries that I'm going to post as an edit later with other corrections.)

I'm eager to finish the other palm trees. As with all your courses, I really enjoyed the class and working on the projects. I always learn so much! You are a gifted teacher.

I believe the pattern layout appears fantastic.

The level of detail in the elements may vary based on the project's intended purpose. For example, if the illustration stands alone and is intended for sale as an art print, it may require more time and attention to achieve perfection. However, if it is intended for a pattern, it can afford to have less detail; otherwise, it would consume too much time to complete the entire pattern.  

Additionally, creating a brush for the berries is an excellent idea as it will save a significant amount of time and effort.
