First attempt at drawing shoes ever!  For the patent leather lesson I had to incorporate a little bit of white gouache as I went a touch heavy handed on the black paint and covered a bit of my highlight.

Struggled a little bit with the suede lesson - I love the shade and the finished product as a whole but found I didn't really capture the texture properly?

The sequins lesson was SO fun! 

So fun in fact that I incorporated it into my class project which was a shoe from Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance'. I've been obsessed with that shoe since the video came out and it never occurred to me to ever try my hand at sketching and painting it!  Not my absolute favorite piece I've ever done but I had a lot of fun with this gold watercolor I've been saving for a special occasion!
