Daily Food Drawing

Daily Food Drawing - student project

Better late than never;) I finally found some time to finish this course. It went pretty well at first and I had 6 drawings done, but then life happened and the dinner one had to wait:P

I don't remember much about my thoughts while drawing all those foods, but I have to say that since taking the course I do think more about what I'm eating, is it healthy, fulfilling, colourful etc.

Day 1 and 2

For breakfast I used watercolour markers, and for coffee - watercolours. I have to say that oatmeal was pretty fun to draw - so many details:) I did try the blind contour on a separate piece of paper, but couldn't find it when taking the pictures for uploading.

Day 3 and 4

For lunch I had chickpea salad (like egg salad) with corn salad (mâche). My thoughts: I do enjoy colourful food and this colour combination was really yummy;) Ingredient - I chose pasta, as I eat it quite often and I also like the simple label.

Day 5 and 6

I had fun drawing those 2, a lot of texture and spots. I don't think I ever study the colouring of fruits that much before:)

Day 7

And finally dinner - home-made pizza with corn, olives, red pepper and onions. Looks quite burnt, but it wasn't, I just messed up the colours a bit:P It was a torture to just draw it when it was getting cold, so finally I took a few bites - makes it look even tastier:P

Final thoughts: I really enjoyed the course. Drawing food is very relaxing and also very forgiving ;) Since then I did quite a few food drawings on my own.

Thank you, Liz :)
