<p>Hi Jennifer, This is a nice project but I can see that you have struggled with drawing the figure pose. Did you watch and complete all the lessons? or did you jump to certain ones?</p>

Jennifer I think your person is awesome!!  Chris, your feedback is making me hesitant about taking your class - just as an fyi.

Kim, Thank you for your kind comments but just to add some context I have done a few of Chris's classes now and he's even provided personal feedback several times and on one occasion even sent me a video to help explain where I could improve, so I think he was probably commenting based on that slightly more familar basis rather than if it was the first time I'd done one of his classes.  Does that make sense?  Chris is one of the most supportive teachers on skillshare and it's worth giving his classes a go.  This one wasn't quite for me and I did struggle with it.

Thanks for the context, Jennifer!  As a retired teacher and an often-struggling student, I got a lot of buttons pushed by his response.  But thanks to your response I will give the class a try, though no project.  I really want to learn how to do this!

Chris.  I had trouble with your first response - "did you do all the lessons?"  What that does is put all the responsibility on the student instead of maybe the teacher could look at different ways or clearer ways to present the material or at least try to pinpoint the student's difficulty.  As I told Jennifer, her comments made it much more likely I will take the class, as I really want to learn this.  I have watched a zillion Skillshare classes and everyone talks about how important it is to do all the lessons, so I get that.  But your response really shut me down.  Those few lines are all I know of you, so I'm glad Jennifer built her context.  Best wishes.

Hi Kim, I didn't mean anything by that comment at all! I was just trying to pinpoint any difficulties by determining if a key point was missed in a lesson. That way I could have given Jennifer a better explanation or found out as a teacher If I needed to present a certain lesson in it in a better way.

I will say that I took a different approach with this class and is the first class I have done as an intermediate one rather than all of my others which were aimed at beginner students. So I was interested to know if I had to improve in the way I presented these more complicated techniques. But I am glad Jennifer was able to put things in to context

<p>I think I got the gist of the lesson but somehow messed&nbsp;up slightly on the colouring/shading so my outline is still visible.&nbsp; This is the first time I have attempted a human form so all in all I'm pleased with how it turned out.</p>
