My name is Marina and it’s my watercolor textures project.

I started the watercolor texures course to refresh my painting skills and get new inspiration for watercolor painting.

I like the Japanese anime style. When I was thinking about what theme to choose for the final project I found an old anime sketch I did a long time ago. I could not find a nice way to color it at that time so I drop it in the back of my sketch folder.

I liked the textures technique so much and when I found my old anime sketch I felt it’s the perfect way to color it!

First I did few pieces of training on Texture Swatches. One of them is inspired by the summer hiking I did in the wood.

After textures training, I started to color the anime boy sketch.
Additionally, I used watercolor pencils and markers for the final details.

It took me a few weeks to finish the project in my spare time but it was worth it!
