For my still life, I chose five random objects in my home:

- An onion
- A wooden spoon
- My favourite candle
- A sculptural pencil holder by British artist Pablo Bronstein
- A bottle of Bèrto Bitter vermouth

I sketched the objects on scrap paper to get a better sense of their form and details, before moving into paint.

For the objects I felt more confident painting, I went straight in with brush and paint. I lightly sketched the other two that needed some more careful planning before painting over the top, making sure to erase those pesky pencil lines before scanning.

And voilà! My elements turned into a finished still life composition after I spent some time in Photoshop!
