Steps to the Assignment:

Complete the warm-up exercises (download "Warm-up Exercises.pdf").
Observe your surroundings and try to reimagine and rethink what you see: how things look, feel, and function.
1st Task - Words that Inspire (Text + Draw): download "Words That Inspire.pdf", write down the words, cut them out, fold them, and mix them in separate groups. Take one word from each group and draw the sentence that you got (my works based on this exercise: 1) Drinking - Flowers - Smoothie 2) Meeting - Galaxy - Sweater)
2nd Task - Colors that Inspire (Paint + Illustrate): take a paper and water-based paint. Paint as many spots and splashes as you like. When the papers dry out, take a look at the shapes and think of an animal, object, or plant that reminds you of the colored shapes. Outline them and draw the details (References: 1) Imagino: I Turn Watercolor Splashes Into Cute Characters, 2) Who are the Stone-Eaters and Where Do They Come From)
3rd Task - Shapes that Inspire (Capture + Digitize): look around you and capture (using a smartphone or any other camera) an object whose shape interests you the most. Open it in the digital software (Photoshop, Procreate, etc.) and outline it. Think about the other ways how this object can look or function and redraw it in a new context.
4th Task - combinations that inspire: combine two or more exercises that we did (example: use the watercolor splashes to illustrate the sentence that you got in the first task).
