À propos de ce cours
The Body-Mind Connection Experience is a 7-part course that guides you through key topics and short guided practices to help you feel and understand the relationship between your body and mind. Each lesson builds on the last, combining gentle self-inquiry with accessible meditation to support clarity, presence, and emotional balance. Drawing from yogic wisdom, you'll explore how awareness can soften automatic reactions and create space for grounded, mindful living.
Projet de cours pratique
Create a simple, personal "Awareness Map" that helps you reflect on your patterns of thought, emotion and sensation to visualize how you respond to them with awareness.
Throughout this course, you’ve explored how your body, mind, emotions, and awareness are constantly interacting. Now it’s time to bring it all together in a simple, creative reflection, your personal "Awareness Map"
This project gives you the opportunity to reflect on a real moment in your life and recognize the pattern. The automatic reaction, the thought that shaped it and the feeling it triggered. Ultimately thinking and feeling about how you could have reacted instead.
Map it out visually or in writing and please remember these points:
- This is for you, still if you want to share it, make sure it's something that is within reasonable frame (nothing that is when shared horrific or in any way or form harming you or others, make sure it's about yourself and in a positive light).
- Keep it clear for yourself, this is the most important, it must make sense to you, let your creativity play a huge role, maybe draw with colors, or write with colors.
- Do not get into a negative spiral, but let it go after you've done it. Do not get attached to it, however observe it and then next time a similar situation comes up, breath, take a moment and choose how you respond instead of react. If you managed this, you are doing amazing. If not, just observe your reactions and then try again, it doesn't need to work the first time, however reflect and try again, ultimately creating more control in your life and thus creating the life you want!
How to:
- Choose a recent moment where you felt a strong reaction (stressful, frustration, joy, disappointment, conflict)
- Reflect on what happend (What happend in your body?, What story did your mind create?, What emotion showed up?)
- Identify the shift (What might you do differently the next time?, What would it look like to pause and respond with awareness?)
- Draw or write your "Awareness Map", please be as creative as you like.
The awareness map can be: handwritten or digital mind map, a poem, a drawing, or describing everything that happend in great detail.
Short example project:
"I chose a moment where somebody canceled upon me, I felt frustrated in my heart and sadness coming up almost bringing tears out, a feeling of "I don't matter" came up. Normally I retreat but this time, I remembered how much joy and energy brought it up to me to look forward to the meeting. So I took a breath, and fully present I responded, "thanks for letting me know, hope all is well". I then looked up remembered my self worth and went out for a walk, to do something I'm in complete control of. It felt good in my body and gave me the space I need to breath into my body releasing tightness in my chest and heart."
With that said : Abundant love, blessings and a lot of fun creating your "Awareness Map" - Marcel
