Projet de cours pratique
Class Project: Compose a 1-Minute Piece Showcasing Advanced Harmony & Melody
Now it’s your turn to put theory into practice!
Using the techniques and concepts covered in this class—such as advanced scales, reharmonization, modal interchange, and creative melodic development—I invite you to compose a short original piece of music. The goal is to demonstrate your understanding of both advanced harmony and melody in a cohesive, expressive way.
Project Guidelines:
-
Length: Keep your piece under 1 minute—short and impactful is the goal.
-
Focus Areas: Make sure your composition features at least one advanced harmonic technique (like a reharmonized progression or chromatic modulation) and one melodic concept (such as modal or symmetrical scale usage).
-
Format: You can submit a recording, a MIDI mock-up, or a notated score—whatever best represents your work.
-
Submission: Upload your project right here on Skillshare. I’ll personally review and offer constructive feedback as a professional musician.
This project is a great way to solidify what you’ve learned and start building a portfolio of more sophisticated musical ideas. Don’t worry about perfection—focus on creativity, clarity, and your unique musical voice.
