Drawing exercises: shading objects and figure drawing

Hi Cheryl, thanks for joining the class and posting your work.  I see that you added some shading to your drawing and that's good start. Now it's time to practice some more. It can be quite rewording.  Find a time of day, hour or half an hour, put on some music, and just draw. You can start with the face like you did in the second example. Ask a friend to pose for you or use a reference image. Relax and take your time. Using thick and thin lines make a preliminary sketch. Now think about the volumes of that face. Think about the light and dark areas of the face and then start hatching and crosshatching.  In the last video, the one before the final words I summarized all the tips from the class. I think it might be helpful.  Continue posting, I will try to leave feedback as soon as I can. Also, if you could leave a review it will be greatly appreciated.
