For this project I chose an old favorite subject matter– Super Mario World!

I picked the first part of the world map, Yoshi's Island, as my isometric subject matter.

I watched DKNG's tutorial in its entirety before diving in, after which I sketched out this extremely hurried/horrible layout:

This gave me a very basic idea of where I wanted to go, but I planned on handling most of the layout & details once I got rolling in Illustrator.
