Trying To Draw Things I always fail at

 

I went to the zoo two years ago and I sat down to try and draw a rhino # fail. I try to do a line drawing without really putting shapes down and of course the rhino was just going about his day moving around so that didn't help. I tried the technique with just some shapes and finally I can draw a decent rhino!  Then I tried hands, my nightmare, and lets just say, the struggle was real. I still need to keep working on it and in this case, adding skeleton lines would have helped more. Plus the hands I chose have too much harsh light which didn't help with the Shapiros. In the end I cheated and left it as a flowy drawing, my usual style. I really wanted to draw a graphic style where it is very neat etc. Lastly, a simple chair. I wanted to draw this because eventually I want to get good enough to draw a webtoon and I am always concerned about drawing the back ground so this was a good practice. I was going to draw the lines with the straight line segments in CSP but decided against it preferring to keep consistent with the whole organic look. Just an excuse until I get better using the graphic pen
