Thanks so much for demonstrating all of these cool features in Affinity. It was so great to work through a tutorial that is made for the iPad. The source image I chose offered its challenges. With it being a sunrise, there wasn’t many obvious shadows or highlights to work with. Still, I think it worked well. (:

Here is my revision. It does look so much more balanced. I think next time I try this I need to go for a more consistent texture. The one that I  found and used was much more concentrated in certain places and that made it really challenging. I noticed that some areas are specks are more distorted in some places than others. This will be good to keep in mind as I make the next ones. Thanks again!
