Painting A Stunning Watercolor In Seven Easy Steps

<p>I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I have a bit more a feeling now for how the paint interacts with the water, etc.. I over saturated the paper a couple of times, it was only 90lb. I added some more leaves over the tree trunks because it felt too bare and weird .</p>

Wow Shannon! If this is you first watercolor ever, then you have a natural talent. I love the way you did the tree bark and how you made each tree trunk a different width. The leaves are also good. The only thing I would suggest is maybe fewer branches next time or have them a little further apart You could also add some more leaves maybe.  But overall, I'm very impressed at your first ever watercolor. Well done. I wouldn't use anything less than 140lb paper and do get the best paper. It makes a huge difference..
