The cotton paper painting has lovely shadows because I'm assuming you were able to layer more easily :) And I love the playfullness of your ink &amp; wash!

Thanks a lot Sarah. Any more suggestions what I should pay more attention to? oh and one question: In general is there any information in any of your Gauche classes I can 'salvage' or transfer to watercoloring?

I think you are definitely on the right track. If possible stick with the 100% cotton paper to be able to practice (the cheaper sketchbooks are fine for sketching, but you can't practice normal techniques). When you say salvage, what do you mean? Gouache can be watered down and used like watercolor, so if you mean dried up gouache, just add a bit of water :)

salvage is the wrong word. I have no gouache and don’t plan to start with it. I was just wondering if watching your gouache classes or videos could be still be useful …if there is anything (like technique)  I could transfer to watercolor. (So while you teach using gouache, I would paint along with  watercolor) …

Oh I see! Short answer: yes. But not just because you could try to paint along. It's also because in my gouache classes I discuss lots of useful things like composition, color theory, lighting, etc. - so you never know what you might absorb!

Here we go again..now I'm in my 3rd month of drawing/ watercolor and I'm hooked. Please give me any critique..I would appreciate it. For the&nbsp;first and more pretty image I used cotton paper. For the&nbsp;others I just used my sketchbook ..lol...it didn't like watercolor but I viewed it more as sketching and trying stuff :)&nbsp;
