Devon Hosford CV 2017 - student project

Hey y'all!

One of my goals for 2017 is to get out of my Adobe Illustrator rut and start using InDesign more to become more comfortable with the program. I figured the best place to start would be giving my resume a little TLC and give it a fresh design. I am currently redesigning my personal logo and website, so a new resume is part of the refresh.

Here is a picture of my old resume (circa 2013). It's not TERRIBLE, but the typography became muddy and it is hard to read in certain areas. I want to improve legibility and organize my information better. My personality and personal design tastes have also shifted since designing this old resume, and I want this new resume to be a better reflection of me.

I recently refreshed my logo and color palette. It has a similar vibe to my old brand, but I like to think it's less stiff and better reflects the level of "chill" I have achieved since graduating. My old resume feels stuffy and stiff. Not me at all. Below is a little board that I threw together while brainstorming some of my new design elements. Hopefully I can use some of this in the new redesigned resume.

I'll post more soon. Stay tuned!
