Wow, thats gorgeous. I love the expression you gave to the eye. I may just point that the yellow nape feathers kind of fuse with the background... maybe you coul use a different yelow for the feathers if you have one. To sum up that´s not an attempt, that success, that´s your version. Congrats!

This bird posted extremely oversized despite the fact I sized it at 800px. It is at least 3x's the size it was painted at.
