Battery

Battery - student project

For my stop motion cut I decided to choose a battery.

Why? It's is not really a good idea to cut up a battery in real life... and so doing so with stop motion made a lot of sense. I think picking an object that shouldn't be cut adds an extra layer of 'wow' to your animation.

To begin I sculpted my battery replacement out of some clay, trying to get it as close in size as possible.

I then also prepared my different sized acid pools, also out of clay,
and all of the bubble shapes to enable me to animate the acid bubbling.

The next step was to composite everything together in Photoshop, this took quite a while, but the results are definitely worth the time. Here is my finished animation in GIF form.
