Testing out the process with a fav toy and window light. I am happy with the lifestyle image: when Julie said remove everything you can from the frame until there is nothing left to take away (without sacrificing your 'Why'), that was key. 

Struggling with the image on background, I think it's looking meh. Maybe the faux wood doesn't really fit with the subject as well (since BB8 is a robot and wood is natural)?

The banner was fun to play around with: I put the subject in focus, then put a clear glass in front of my lens until I got this neat half-blur. My issue (as the banner title suggests), is why the shot so grainy? 

Loving this so far! The course encouraged a shift in mentality while taking photos, and I can already see the difference in my shots :) Going to try again with different subjects!
