Answering question
What is priming? Have you ever noticed priming in your everyday life? How do marketers use it?
Priming is an exposure to one subtle cue or idea in order to affect your subsequent ideas and actions. An example of this is how stores play relaxing music on the background so you spend more time shopping there
What is cognitive fluency? Does it have an effect on you? Have you felt more ease when you encountered familiar tasks?
Cognitive fluency is when you make your website or product look familiar and simple to the customer, so it is easier for them to process it.
Yes, I have definitely experienced the consequences of cognitive fluency when choosing which product to buy. Each time, I would buy the one that overwhelmed me less with its label, especially if those two products were absolutely unfamiliar to me before.
How do cognitive biases affect us?
Cognitive biases affect us tremendously because every time, subconsciously, we want to align with the best version of ourselves, and when the product represents our "best self" then we are a lot more likely to buy it.
