Drawing & Line Quality

Hi Liz, Great that you did two versions and this is a really good way to use contour drawing - first to study and practice looking and second to take what you learnt and create a more finished artwork. Remember that contour drawing itself is an exercise in looking, and generally not a technique used in isolation to create a 'final drawing'. I'd encourage you to try something from nature just because its a bit more suited to the wobbly style (a good thing!) and there are a lot more very small changes in the edges. But you can use contour drawing for any object - shoes and hands are good subjects too. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing more of your projects! Emily

This is definitely not organic (haha) but it had different lines and it was handy. The straw threw me off because the water of course bends it, to the eye, but for some reason I struggled to draw it that way.&nbsp;
