Follow along and design a new book cover for a beloved book. Share your brainstorming list, audience notes, concept ideas, sketches, layouts, and final work: we want to see it all! As a reminder:

Choose a book you love — but that also gives you a lot of visual ideas!
Read your book, keeping messy notes as you go.
Expand your reading notes into a full brainstorming list.
Next up: audience. What are three possible audiences for your book?
Narrow down your concepts to 1-3 to move forward.
Then, sketch your initial, rough thumbnails.
Create a structural layout to plan your final piece.
Sketch basic letterforms into your layout.
Finalize your letterforms, adding style details as you go!
Choose and add color to your piece.
Add final details and ornamentation to your letters.
Share your final cover!
