Approximately 15% of the world’s population — live with some form of disability. So this is why accessibility (also known as A11y) is the topic we can’t neglect as designers or coders. It’s high time to practically learn what accessibility means in the digital world – and specifically in the world wide web.

You’re going to find out:

✅ how to check if HTML is semantic,
✅ what to avoid when writing accessible CSS,
✅ why you should be cautious about animations on the website,
✅ how to implement quick a11y tips even if you don’t work as a coder.

And of course, as always in my classes, you’ll implement the gained theory into practice. At the end of the classes you’ll get one task to do the accessibility audit of one website and I strongly encourage you to upload result of your results to Projects Section.

Prior coding experience

If you don’t have basic knowledge in HTML in CSS I recommend you to watch my previous classes e.g. Code your own portfolio, to understand the code better and quickly dive deeper into writing your own code.
