This was such an amazing class, and has given me such a deep and rich insight into a medium I've never thought to study. Thank you!!!!

I've made my fair share of Comics over the years, but have never had any sort of theory to put behind it. This course gave me such a boost that the project I made as a result came extremely naturally.

For the brief of "Obsession" I decided to tap into my own recent experiences. Before starting on this season of learning I (I am rather ashamed to admit) binge watched all five seasons of Breaking Bad over the course of a couple of weeks, a show I had been putting off because I knew it would lead to that sort of behavior. Luckily though, I saw comedic potential in the way that I would often tell myself that this was the last episode only to wind up deep into the next season at 3 in the morning.

I thought that the best way to do frame this idea would be to take advantage of the unique opportunity that panels provide. They are parallel and yet they can show different shots in transition. By keeping the shot continuous across both but advancing time in one I'd be able to make the joke work best; Two panels but one continuous art piece.
