Before we start, have you grabbed your free CartoonZ brush pack yet? You can find it in the resources section some carefully created brushes specific for this method and what I will be using in the class.

For this class we will learn the full process of how to edit any photo into a cartoony styled fun portrait.
you will learn the line works and the importance of a good line art brush with correct pressure sensitivity. My class is 1 hour long broken down into 6 bitesize parts to easier understand the process I use.

I have provided the same photograph I use in this class so please save and use it to draw along with me :)

the photograph is already edited ready to go by upping vibrancy and saturation, the original is also included for reference purpose!

we will learn about confident linework and tips on achieving this and the correct brush to use, long strokes always look nicer on finished pieces and confident lines can really shine through to leave a professional looking end product.
We will also will learn how to blend the photo and pull the colours rather than wash them out like most smudging does. We want crisp colours all the way to complement our cartoon style. Also provided the brush to obtain this exact procedure.

we can finish with some explosive splashes and swooshes to really add the life and fun to any piece, your clients will be raving about their new modern art.

You can pause the class at any point if you need a little more time.
