Hi, I'm Tim!
I’m an Adobe Certified Instructor and Expert, and I work as a designer based in London.
In this short and enjoyable class, I’ll show you how to create an eye-catching text effect where the text looks like the object it's describing., using Adobe Photoshop’s useful Warp tool and a simple clipping mask in a way that’s both fun and totally beginner-friendly.
Whether you want to jazz up a birthday card, create unique posters or adverts, or design cool social media posts and banners, this course will give you the skills to make it happen.
In this class, you’ll learn how to:
- Use Adobe Photoshop’s Warp tool
- Cut out an image with the clever automatic cutting feature
- Work with layers and text
- Use a clipping mask to display your artwork inside the text
All lessons are delivered in short, bite-sized videos that are easy to follow. Even if you’ve never used Photoshop before, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process.
There are no resource files for this course as you'll be creating everything you need.
So whether you’re making something for websites, children’s room décor, or your next big celebration, let’s make it fun, creative, and totally enjoyable!

Proyecto de clase práctica
Orange Text
Using the techniques that you've learned in this course, create the same effect in a circular shape. I've used GO in an orange, but you can use any round fruit or object and text that you like.
Be aware that certain characters work better than others, eg words starting with "I" will be very difficult to see.
I've included my final layered file for your reference and there's screenshot of the layers so you can see how I've set them up below.
Lastly, be very picky when it comes to choosing the right image for this as it needs to be nice and round or curvy. Anything with too much detail and sharp corners can be a bit more tricky when it comes to bending the text with the Warp tool.
