I'm a children's book illustrator, author, and instructor with a passion for storytelling through art. With years of experience in digital illustration, I specialize in creating engaging, imaginative visuals that bring children's stories to life.
I'm also a children's book art instructor, teaching students how to master the craft of illustrating stories for young audiences. Through my online classes and tutorials, I've had the privilege of teaching over 10,000 students around the world, in multiple languages and across various platforms.
My mission is to help aspiring artists confidently express their creativity, develop their unique illustration style, and learn how to visually communicate meaningful narratives that connect with young readers.

Project Summary:
In this class, you’ll create your own illustrated scene for a children's story using my custom-made watercolor brushes on Procreate. This project will help you apply all the skills learned in the course, from character design and color harmony to clean sketching, watercolor-style coloring, lighting, and final touch-ups. You’ll finish the class with a beautiful, storybook-style illustration ready to share in your portfolio, or with your audience.
What You’ll Do:

Choose a theme or simple scene (for example: a child playing, an animal exploring, or a cozy room).

Use the character design method taught in the class to create a unique character using the “one-line” technique.

Sketch your scene using clean outlines and consistent proportions.

Color your illustration using the included free custom watercolor brushes in Procreate.

Add lighting, a simple background to finish your illustration.

The free watercolor brush set included with the Class. To make sharing easier, I’ve split the watercolor brush set into two parts.
You’ll find all the brushes used in the class, just in two files. Feel free to combine them into one set if you like!
