Sophie Russell (also known for her experimental and electronic work as Cherry Seraph) is a music producer, musician, and artist based in England. She primarily works with Ableton Push, hardware synthesisers, and vocals. She delivers freelance Ableton Live production workshops, as well as tuition to University undergraduates. She is freelance inside the music industry, across multiple disciplines, including studio work and live sound.

For your project inside of this class, you will be investigating MIDI. This means I strongly recommend that you:
- Replicate everything I show you at the same time at the videos play inside your Ableton Live session
- After each episode, try to dedicate some time to further explore the topics we just went through and keep using the MIDI tools to apply the skills to your own projects in a wider context
- Primarily use this time to explore what is possible with these techniques and spark inspiration; when you work independently after the course, you can concentrate on aesthetics in more detail
- Keep your mind open and just keep on enjoying all the buttons!
