Workshop Timeline:
- Milestone 1: We’ll start off by by learning the basics of the Instagram platform from the experts at Iconosquare in Instagram for Business: Build an Engaged Community. From establishing your audience and voice to creating eye-catching visuals and measuring success, this comprehensive class covers everything you need to know to get your account off the ground. Along the way, you’ll complete a series of worksheets designed to help you start thinking about your brand and audience. Then you’ll create a post and share it in the project gallery by August 22nd.
- Milestone 2: A great Instagram account needs compelling photos. So next up, we’ll dive deep into photography with Joe Greer’s Mobile Photography: Creating Consistent Look and Feel. In this class, you’ll learn how to develop a noteworthy style that’s all your own and get tactical tips for shooting and post-production mobile editing with apps like VSCO. You’ll use what you learned to capture three photos and share them in the project gallery by August 30th.
- Milestone 3: Lastly, you’ll go behind the scenes with Olympian and Influencer Lolo Jones in Social Media Stardom: Making the Most of Instagram. Lolo shares how she built her large following on Instagram as well as her tips and tricks for creating authentic engagement on your channel. Share your favorite tips from the class that you plan to apply to your own account on the workshop discussion board by September 9th.
