Starting on Sunday, July 17, let's spend time doing something we love: painting.
Join me for a hands-on, exclusive two-week workshop in making modern art. This is perfect for the absolute beginner as well as experienced artists who want to loosen up their style and allow inspiration to flow.
I will cover all the details you need to get started:
This workshop is designed to be an enjoyable challenge. Students can be enrolled in either my Miro’ or Klee course. I will refer to one painting by Miro’ throughout as a guide, but you can choose Klee or another reference artist for your inspiration. You'll get the guidance you need step-by-step, to help you stay on course. But I will encourage you to use your imagination and paint to your heart's content.
I’ll contact you with a daily email prompt, encouraging you to stay on track with the workshop deadlines and goals. In the end, you’ll choose subject matter and colors that appeal to you to complete your final project.
WHAT YOU GET
Guided Experience: I will personally guide you through this workshop to help you learn how to become a modern art master.
Feedback: Each of you will receive personalized 1-on-1 feedback from me throughout the process.
Supportive Experiential Environment: We will experience it together and support one another along the way!
The fun part: PRIZES
The workshop features 3 giveaways for participants who show us their hard work by posting projects.
One student who does an excellent job on his or her project will receive the book 20 Ways to Draw a Star and 44 Other Far-Out Wonders from the Sky and Galaxy, by Salli Swindell and Nate Padavick.
Salli and Nate are the brother and sister artist team behind They Draw and Cook and They Draw and Travel. This star-themed book seemed a fitting tribute to Miro’ and Klee, who both used the galaxy as inspiration.
A second student who makes strong contributions to the workshop will receive an XL t-shirt designed by Sophie Roach, an amazing and talented contemporary artist living in Austin, TX, USA.
A third student will win a 4” x 4” ceramic tile, painted with a modern image of Frida Kahlo. This lovely tile was painted by Heather Galler.
HOW IT WORKS
Note: If at any time, you fall behind on a step, don't worry! You can catch up easily. As long as you complete your project by the due date of Saturday, July 30, you will qualify for the giveaways.
