If you’re itching to let go of perfection and enjoy playing with color I'm here to show you how I create loose flowing intuitive landscapes while having a blast and hopefully a laugh or two!!

I’d love for you to be able to get out of your head a bit, to not overthink and to let go of a bit of control.

Let’s jump into what ideas we’ll play with today:

I want you to know that my goal is to make everything as approachable as possible but that won't always mean it's easy. It might take a bit of practice. If I can do it, so can you.

The idea of painting without planning scares a lot of people but I’m hoping to share with you that it doesn’t have to be scary. It can be a great way to get acquainted or reacquainted with your paints. An exciting way to explore and perhaps utilize conventional and unconventional tools.

We’re going to be using what we have on hand.

We’ll talk about materials you’ll need and some you may want.

Paper: why this supply should be the absolute best you can afford

Watercolor paints: Handmade and commercial paints …is one better than the other?

Brushes: What your options are and what types you may want to try including nicer and inexpensive options

Other useful items and tools to have on hand– things I absolutely love and consider must haves.

- Exploring different supplies, staying curious and experimenting to find out what works best for each of us as an individual. After all this is YOUR journey and we need to make sure you're using what you have, enjoying the time you've committed to your practice while also having the most fun on this roller coaster of an art journey!

There are no rules… anything goes and if you're not making mistakes perhaps you're not pushing yourself. So let's go break some rules and maybe even make some mistakes. And together we’ll chat about ways to rescue yourself in the midst of what may feel like chaos.

The skills and mindset we’ll practice in this class can be used any time you sit down to create. To help you perhaps not take yourself and art so serious. Art should be fun! A place and time for you to escape the demands of the real world…so come paint with me and take refuge in this little art world of ours! :)
