DAY 1
Collage here was old jelli prints I had in my stash. Added a sunflower to brighten it up (I love sunflowers!) some Posca dots and a sentiment. Most of my art has a sentiment and it's usually just penning something with my own handwriting, but in this case I typed it on my computer, printed, cut and stuck it down!

DAY 4

Coloring-In Book... I'm not even a lemon fan, unless it's with a tequila in summer, But it's winter here, so the only lemons I use at the moment are in hot toddies - but needed some bright color. I had read this quote sometime ago and really wanted to capture it... so here it it. Captured.

DAY 5

My hidden message clearly wanted to remain hidden! I took myself right out of my comfort zone and used 3 colors and a paper pack sentiment which I would never have chosen - ever! It was really looking rather ugh, but once I played with the navy Posca marker, I found myself feeling happier about this piece. I guess the message is rather pertinent and a reminder to be kind to myself. Yeah!

DAY 6

This Altered Photo was taken on my recent trip to Perth. I cut the 2024 from the black right quadrant of the photo, painted the background with Pebeo irridescent blue green and the penned "Partying in Perth" in Signo gel pen and Posca pen. PS I printed the photo on sticker photo paper on my Epson printer.

DAY 7

There's a great Dutch word which means "to do nothing".... so today, as it was a bleary grey day, I stayed home and did "NIKSEN'. Other than doing nothing, I finished the last lesson which was supposed to only be a minute - but as usual, I took longer! The central piece of collage is from when I was part of Teesha Moore's "Artstronauts Club". Sadly, she has stopped offering collage downloads of her journal pages due to illness.

MY FINAL THOUGHTS

Thank you Ashton for the encouragement to get arting again. I had found myself in a bit of a rut with virtually no time to do any art journalling, so when I came across your super course I was very happy! THANK YOU!
