Create unique packaging or printed product mock-ups in any lifestyle setting or location which suits the style of your work and helps to convey the desired values!

Start by generating images featuring cylindrical objects and/or boxes in the desired settings using Adobe Firefly. For the best possible results, be clear and descriptive in your prompts and be sure to reference and use the provided Prompt Structure & Templates document to help you get started with writing your prompts. Don’t hesitate to start by using the provided example prompts as they are and then edit them to generate the images of your desired packaging or products and to adjust the vibe, lighting or elements in the images to your liking.

If you want to explore generating different scenes and playing around with the prompts and Adobe Firefly settings, consider generating images with some straightforward packaging or objects first, for example drinks cans, mugs or cosmetic pots. Adobe Firefly handles generating images with these kinds of objects well, so they are good for getting started with generating various scenes and tweaking the prompts and settings. And when you get your scene to your liking, you can simply swap the object in your prompt to the one you actually need.

To get more predictable results, consider using Composition References. To quickly get started with creating and using Composition References, be sure to grab the provided Composition Reference images and Adobe Photoshop documents:

use one of the included Adobe Photoshop documents for creating your reference image in the desired aspect ratio;
place the PNG of the object you want to generate into the selected document;
scale and position the object within the canvas to create your desired composition;
save your reference image as a JPG with a white background;
upload your reference image to Adobe Firefly and use it with the Composition Reference Strength set to Medium or Maximum.

Note: to get the best results when generating images of boxes, I highly recommend always using Composition References.

After you've generated some images of boxes and/or cylindrical packaging or products that you like, turn at least one of these images into a mock-up in Adobe Photoshop and share the results—but of course, I'd be excited to see you exploring all of the Adobe Photoshop techniques from this class and creating mock-ups of both boxes and cylindrical packaging or products!

Share in Your Class Project:

your selected generated images as they came from Adobe Firefly;
the prompt and settings you have used in Adobe Firefly to generate your selected images;
your Composition and Style Reference images if you have used them;
if you do some retouching or image development in Adobe Photoshop, be sure to include both the original images as they came from Adobe Firefly and their developed/retouched state;
your final mock-ups;
any work-in-progress images or screenshots with the settings, if you have any questions and need some specific technical feedback;
a few words about your process of generating images and turning them into mock-ups and what you’ve learnt in this class.

I cannot wait to see the scenes you generate and how you showcase your work using them!
