I used today to both art slowly and try out something new. It was both frustrating to keep myself at a slow pace. It made it hard to get lost in my work as normally ends up happening. However, it is also fascinating to watch and take in what each stroke actually does. I had tested out some new brush pens and I could watch each color and how they interact when layered. - day 3: takin it slow

I had a lot of fun with today's project. Mixing materials (brush pens, oil pastel, and a paint marker,) ways of mark making, and colors. I love how vibrant everything turned out. In comparison to taking it slow, this is much more my style. Going with the flow of the piece. I found this one quite interesting. For me, I transform a quick sketch version of the original as to still be able to look at that version in the future. I had this sketch I had done for one of my school classes as a warm up and decided to try this on that sketch. I had a lot of fun with today. It might possibly be one of my favorites. I was sitting by the water today and there was this old waterlogged stump. I sketched it as is then further pushed it for this project by taking the texture from there and turning it into something new - day 14: texture
