For your class project, you need to gather inspiration from everyday objects around you in home or outside or even internet. Then using those inspirations, just paint some fun illustrations using gouache paints.

The class focuses on the two simplest and the most basic techniques of painting with Gouache - Wet on Dry Technique and Layering.

You will use these two techniques to create simple and fun illustrations. You can also use the sketches I have provided in the resources tab. I have also provided some reference images for you from Unsplash.com. These images are free to use for practice and the rights remain to the owner of the images respectively.

Steps to achieve the best results:

Practice Paint to Water ratio
Learn how to achieve a creamy texture of gouache
Experiment with different types of brushes
Practice Layering technique
Gather inspiration. You can also pick a theme like "Garden" or "Kitchen" and select elements of illustration based on that theme.
You can also select a limited color palette. But not necessary.
Sketch your ideas, trace them(if needed) on watercolor paper .
Paint the final illustrations

Final Project

If you practice the two technique thoroughly, you will be able to achieve the best results easily. Your final project of this class is to create a few illustrations with gouache using the techniques and steps taught in the class. You can create the same illustrations as me or choose to create different ones.
