I struggled to decide what media to use but finally came up with the idea of using a bottle of ink and a wooden skewer (these are the tools that I used to make my inky marks in Tom's "Inky Illustration" class.

I thought that using the skewer would give me less control over my drawing and allow it to be a bit more messy and free. Getting messy and moving away from 'realism' is something that I need to practice.

I thought I’d start on November 1st to make life easier (30 days has November and all that!)

And that’s a wrap. I REALLY enjoyed my thirty days of drawing in my sketchbook and hope to keep up with it.

During the process I learned to embrace my mistakes and discovered that I really like drawing bare feet and messy hair. After two years of mainly drawing on the iPad it was so refreshing to use other media and to NOT be able to delete my mistakes. I’d better ask Father Christmas for some more sketchbooks for Christmas!
