I'm really happy that I found this course. It's giving me a framework to enable me to do something I've been wanting to do for a long time - developing an illustration style that I'm more happy and comfortable with so that I can stop re-inventing the wheel for every project and just get down to the business of finishing my long list of projects and start working more efficiently.

Master Board

For my master board I ended up with a mix of my own artwork and other people's artwork. It's funny because when I look at it in this context I feel like maybe my art isn't that bad! I can take a step back and view it more objectively. The lady in the top left corner is the kind of person I would like to grow into being one day :-).

My next step is to create 10 portfolio pieces in a cohesive colour palette that I can upload to my website.

I've created the four pin boards that Andy suggested and at first glance the picture is pretty bleak...

I'm not going to comment on the pictures as it feels a bit too personal, suffice to say my childhood was not a particularly happy one, and it's taken me a long time to realise and accept that my kind of different is actually ok.

Having suffered trauma and gone through some strange times and emerged on the other side stronger and wiser, enables me to empathise with other people on a deep level. It puts things into perspective.
