Create an art poster for an event.

What to Do

Use an event you care about — something local to your community, a dream conference you'd love to attend, or even something entirely made up! — as inspiration for your very own art poster.

If the event is real, research what kind of posters have been created for it in the past, and use any existing logos as an element of your work. Totally fictitious event? Get creative, and think about parallels to other real-world concepts.

Remember: the goal is not to copy their style or approach. The goal is to use those examples as a reference, then go your own way. Become a conceptual problem-solver that brings both intelligence and visual punch to your assignment — and do it in a way that's going to grab the viewer's eyes and make them want to find out more!
