I really loved this class! I found it normalized a lot of the feelings/anxieties I have around drawing and gave me 'permission' to do the exercises and challenges in my own way. Like Yasmina, I struggle with finishing challenges and I also struggle with 'getting bored' when I spend too long on one project, so I felt like this class took all the pressure off and just let me enjoy the process!

For the seven-day challenge, I focused mostly on things around my house. I simplified the challenge and didn't do the memory part (I am going to repeat the challenge again and try to do that more!), my focus was on the 3 steps only as I felt like that is what I wanted to improve on the most. I did most of mine in pencil only so I could practice seeing the light and dark values. Here are a few pictures from my sketchbook:

For the 'still life' I drew the view from my kitchen table (a.k.a. where I do most of my drawing!) This was a big challenge for me but I'm happy I attempted it! I went right in with ink, as I knew if I sketched the whole thing first with pencil I would lose motivation.

Thanks so much for this wonderful class! I rewarded myself with a cinnamon scone (one of my fave treats but I don't get it very often!), and I am going to jump right into another 7 days!
