Here I am working through the classes that Daniel has graciously uploaded. I am super happy with my progress. Through this project space I am hoping to track my progress and apply the skills to create a brand for my artwork. Daniel if you read this, thank you very much! I have ADHD and Autism which makes me very distractable but your wit and simplifying methods are keeping me going.

Outcome 1: SleepingFox

This was a fantastic little starter. Easy concept and quickly finished. I've uploaded my outcome of the fox to demonstrate my grasp of the skills I learned. (Side note: I have added in the watermark that I have used the skills learned to create. This is very much still a work in progress.)

Outcome 2: AwakeFox - The Swan

Another gratifying project. Having a great set of fundamentals I could go into this "homework" and tweak my rendering. Using the downloads I decided to push the image into looking more like a swan (upon first glance). I kept to the ideas of the original with the circular shape and three tail feathers. I added shadows to give some depth and an idea of wings. Love the little swan outcome.

Outcome 3: The Never-Ending Triangle

Very simple triangle feature. Thank you for explaining the math as I too am terrible with it.

Used the percentage shading going up by 20% per side.

Outcome 4: ReDraw

I wish I'd known about the curvature tool before I tried to create my watermark. It's a fabulous tool! Quick and easy for getting a vector render done! Challenge accepted and here's my doodle.

Outcome 5: Pen Tool

Wow. So I've used the pen tool to create my watermark and that was all I knew how to do but since the experience with the Curvature Tool I am never going back. I can't believe the state of my lines in this side by side comparison.

Outcome 6: Pencil Tool

Incredibly fun and flexible tool. I agree that the use of a tablet would make the pencil more controllable. However, I am rather pleased with the quirky lines and easily customizable colours. I've wondered how to make more expressive lines. The file from this one was pretty large so I've had to turn it into a jpeg. Bleh raster.

The idea is that the background is transpartent to allow a border break or "fourth wall breaking" splatter effect symbolizing messy spilled paint. Traditional arts and crafts have so many messy elements. I feel it also represents my cluttered health issues and creative process. The rough sketch.

CYMK - I enjoy printing media and it's light and happy colours too.
