Hi, my incredible students!

I hope you're kicking off spring with tons of energy and inspiration as you move toward your biggest dreams! As always, my classes are available to you 24/7 to provide you with that extra sparkle of encouragement at the drop of a hat!

As an independent artist/entrepreneur, I know how important it is to pitch yourself for opportunities! In fact, this month, I signed five EPIC contracts from cold emails alone and landed some dream opportunities!

As a thank you for being my student, I wanted to gift you my exact plug-and-play email template so you can create magic with as well.

Let's dive right in!

SUBJECT LINE

"Hi ____! Re: ______"

When possible, always put someone's first name in the subject line. They're much more likely to open it, and it will set your email apart from the many mass emails they're likely receiving.

I NEVER do “to whom it may concern” ~ Research the name!

Sometimes I’ll call ahead and ask who specifically to reach out to.

For the “Re:” mention what you’re interested in connecting on. For example, “Hi Melissa! Re: Live Music at Crave Cafe”

Re: means regarding, but when most people see it, they think I’m replying... so they open it. It’s a lil’ trick I figured out.

TIP! I also like to write their name two times in the email itself. A person's favorite word is their own name!

It’s time to hook 'em!

Start with a sincere, genuine compliment if possible, then get to how you want to serve/support THEM with what YOU do.

Some examples:

Rachel, I’m obsessed with the vibe you’ve created at Crave Cafe. I have a really unique idea to share with you to make Friday nights super special!

Monica, The live music you put together at The Roxy is seriously the best in town. I’d love to bring my photography skills to your space and capture this Saturday’s lineup!

Phoebe, Every time I take a dance class at Releve Studios I feel lit up for days! I’d love to chat about the possibility of bringing a specialty lyrical class to your studio that you don’t currently offer!

Now introduce who YOU are clearly and confidently.

1-2 Magnetic, Concise Paragraphs MAX

- Position yourself as an expert / the coolest ever (you ARE!)

- Describe notable past experiences

- Share an awesome review or two

- Drop any press or awards

***IF YOU DON’T HAVE MUCH EXPERIENCE,I PROMISE THERE IS SOMETHING YOU CAN LEVERAGE AND TALK ABOUT, EVEN IF IT’S SOMETHING YOU DID IN HIGH SCHOOL! ***

- Really lean into what you can offer THEM

- Overall: make it about how you can serve or support THEM. This is hugely important!

I noticed you are just beginning your adult program in the evenings at Releve Studios, and it got me thinking: It looks like a lyrical class isn’t on your schedule yet --- I felt like this might be an amazing opportunity to reach out and see if I could serve or support you in any way as an instructor! I’ve had a fantastic experience at ____ studio where I grew the class to 25 students in just 3 months. I’d love to bring my background, enthusiasm, and expertise to your students!

Keep it friendly and confident.

This is also a great spot to drop a sample of work or a relevant review.
