Your class project will be a two-page spread that includes techniques of collage, stenciling, ink drops, gesso spreading, washi taping and page edging.

The supplies you will need are:

art journal, 2 page spread (or medium weight paper)

assorted scraps of printed paper, black and white, different weights and textures

decopauge glue or watered down white glue

foam brush

acrylic paints in colors: turquoise, lime green, yellow, fuschia, cranberry

black ink

black watercolor crayon

3 stencils in different patterns

medium size printed out quote or photo as your focal point image

Most importantly, bring an open attitude towards the art process that is all about enjoying the moment, taking chances, putting aside your inner critic and letting the creative child in you come out to play! Enjoy and have fun as you discover the joy of art journalling!
