Hello Guys! In this post I would love to show you step by step process on how you can create portrait illustration

At first, you need to select the desired image to draw( Here I have selected the image from Unsplash). Analyse the images well to get the features clearly.

Then start to do the basic sketch which gets the important features of the face.

Once you are done with it, you can do the main sketch where exactly matches with the original image.

Now it’s time to add the base color to the illustration. With the chosen color palette.

Without the shades and highlights the illustration will be incomplete. So add the necessary shades into it.

For the realism add the highlights to the illustration.

So, finally let’s finish up with the background to the illustration.

The brushes I have used are Dry Ink brush, Modified Dry Ink Brush and Soft Pastel. The Dry Ink Brush helps me to define Outline of the sketch and to Color the base. The Soft Pastel is great for blending effect to the illustration and for shading the art.
