I did it!!

Day 14- Texture: My texture photo is taken of a portion of the metal on an antique trunk. The drawing is done with black colored pencil.

Day 13- Take 2: I decided to combine the Thread and Structure challenges. So here are my woven stairs done with colored pencil and marker.

Day 11- Transform Me: I used colored pencils and black marker to transform my Thread drawing.

Day 10- Thread: with a pencil I drew threads woven together. It's a slow process for me to try to make the lines weave in and out without having to do much erasing, so I make very short lines at a time!

Day 9- Flatten It Out: This was harder to do because I wanted to shade things to give them depth! This was done with colored pencils.

Day 8- Color of My Day: It was a dark rainy day, so I put colored the top part of my paper with gelatos and added some greenery to the bottom. Then I sprayed a light mist across the top of the paper while holding it upright so the water soluble gelatos rained down my paper.

Day 7- Crowd of Creatures: My grandkids and I like to draw blob shapes and then try to make crazy creatures out of them. The first time I tried it with them, I had a hard time letting go and not trying to make it really look like something that could exist, but it became easier and more fun each time I did it. So I drew several blob shapes on my paper and then used markers and colored pencils to create the creatures.

Day 6- Metamorphosis 2: I expanded my Day 5 Metamorphosis into a larger "real" butterfly using colored pencils.

Day 5- Metamorphosis 1: Using a pencil, I sketched butterfly-like stems coming out of the base of a unique plant.

Day 4- Shake it Up: I decided to quickly draw roses with colored pencils.

Day 3- Slow it Down: I drew some flowers that were growing in my garden with markers. I don't usually draw with markers and found that it was very hard to go slow. The slower the marking the more saturated the ink onto the paper!

Day 2- Cloudwatch: I closed my eyes and scribbled some lines on the paper with a black pen. When I opened my eyes and turned the paper around a few times, i saw a bird flying up out of the scribbles and colored the sections with colored pencils.

Day 1- Journey: Over the past two years I've been on a cancer healing journey. There are twists and turns and downward spirals and upward climbs. The journey is not over but I am seeing a brighter journey ahead! I used acrylic paint for this challenge. 14 Day Challenge - image 15 - student project
