Create A Foam Print

Foam isn’t just for kids. It’s an easy, economical way to create your own prints with supplies you probably already have in your studio.

Below is a list of supplies you may need to create this print. Affiliate links are included in this list:

--Craft foam

--Cardboard

--Glue (Elmer’s School Glue is fine)

--Scissors

--X-Acto

--Ink (or acrylic paint)

--Brayer

--Barren or spoon

--Paper

Now let’s get started!

Step 1:

Create a farmer’s market (or nature) inspired design. Keep it simple! When you’re happy with your sketch, draw it out on tracing paper with a pencil so it’ll be easy to transfer to the foam

Step 2:

Tape your tracing paper face down on your piece of foam. Use a spoon or burnisher to transfer the pencil lines to the foam

Step 3:

Cut out your image

Step 4:

Glue your image onto cardboard to make it sturdier.

Print your image!
