Enjoying this class so far! I've been way too excited and printed off about a dozen different alphabets that I love.

Here is my warm up. I've done a bit of brush lettering before and definitely have trouble as a left-hander making curved lines. It's to do with pushing the brush instead of pulling like a right-hander. Any advice much appreciated!

I tried out a size 0 and #1 I have, plus a #6 and my pentel water brush pens.

There's so many lovely fonts out there! I couldn't find a source for the one below. It feels very Art Nouveau to me. Made me think of Tolkien artwork.

Personal Lettering

I spent a bit of time thinking about my own handwriting styles, but didn't manage to copy across the photo of my handwriting workshopping. Here's two samples of my painted personal lettering style: my handwriting and my block lettering with some serifs etc.

My Colourboard

Every few months we have a girls' surfing getaway. So I decided to make cards for my friends with a beach theme, inspired by the seaweeds at the beach we surf at.
