Step 1: Make a Copy or Download Template

This is a class that introduces the concept of Scrap-Lap books, and covers the basic steps to making your own scrap-lap book.

I got into lap booking when I started teaching kids in elementary school and found it to be a very versatile and hands-on resource loved by the younger and older kids. A scrap-lap book combines the two concepts to create visually impressive and information sound resource that can be used both at home and in school.

This class is about creating fun and beautiful scrap-lap books. Students will learn how to use very simple skills to create a complex project!

As a class project, every student will make their own SLB with a theme/topic of their choice. Please be flexible at the same time intentional about color choice and design.

This class is for anyone who loves creativity and using color beautifully. Beginners to scrap and lap booking will learn the basics to creating a beautiful scrap-lap book filled with color and their favorite memories. Expert scrap or lap bookers will learn fun and interesting ways to put the two concepts together. It’s especially useful to anyone who works with children, or in general, anyone who loves to work and create with paper.
